Volunteer for the Truckee River
Are you ready to support the Truckee River Watershed? These One Truckee River coalition partners invite you to join them in speaking with community members, collecting data, and cleaning up public spaces along the river.

Connect with these six organizations directly to learn more and help out:
City of Reno Parks and Recreation
Beautify our local parks as a drop-in volunteer, continuous volunteer, or volunteer group. Work areas include the Rose Garden and Greenhouse.
CITY OF SPARKS
Volunteer with the Sparks Parks & Recreation Department.
Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful
Participate in one of several community clean ups throughout the year. Or, “adopt a spot” near your home or office to care for throughout the year. KTMB’s biggest annual events include April’s Great Community Cleanup and September’s Truckee River Cleanup.
Nevada Land Trust
Lend your time and expertise to advocate for open space protection and conservation. The Nevada Land Trust is always looking for volunteer property appraisers, surveyors, attorneys, communications professionals, office helpers, photographers, land stewards, GIS analysts, and other roles.
Truckee Meadows Parks Foundation
Contribute to park programming and beautification through a variety of ongoing volunteer positions. TMPF is currently seeking volunteers for docent-led programming, content creation, observing and recording field observations, refilling doggie bag stations, and a variety of other projects.
Washoe County Regional Parks and Open Space
Participate in Washoe County Parks’ established volunteer program, with hands-on opportunities to assist in keeping our parks clean, attractive, and safe for everyone to enjoy. Support your local park as a Park Ranger Aid, Litter Picker, Trail Monitor, or Visitor Center Host.
