Truckee River Wayfinding Signage Project Dedication & Ribbon Cutting

Please join us for a Truckee River Month celebration of and update on the Truckee River Wayfinding Signage Project. Based on the One Truckee River Master Signage Plan prepared in 2019 by representatives from City of Reno, City of Sparks, Washoe County, and TMWA, over 240 signs were fabricated and 198 installed in 2020 and early 2021 by YESCO. Funding for the fabrication and installation came from State Question 1 through a grant with Washoe County. The original plan was made possible through a grant from the Truckee River Fund at the Community Foundation of Western Nevada. Remaining bridge signs will be installed once additional funding is secured. 

Following brief remarks and ribbon cutting, participants are welcome to join members of the Tahoe- Pyramid Trail organization for a 30-60 minute bike ride to view other nearby sign installations.
