In 2022, due to a lack of funding, OTR will not lead our normal Truckee River Month coordination as in past years. Yet, May is still Truckee River Month - it's just a quieter celebration this year! We'll be back in 2023 with the usual amazing events calendar featuring OTR and our many partner organizations and agencies, but this year we invite you to find a way to celebrate the Truckee River on your own, or with family and friends. Please share your river photos and adventures with One Truckee River via social media - and consider making a gift to One Truckee River as part of Truckee River Month! Join us May for our annual Truckee River Event

Truckee River Month is a month-long celebration every May dedicated to raising public awareness and engagement with our wonderful Truckee River. Sharing the importance, beauty, and need for us all to care for this iconic landmark that provides 85% of the drinking water to the Truckee Meadows region. The Truckee River is available to all residents and visitors to experience nature in wilderness, rural, and urban settings. Much of our community enjoys fishing, floating, walking, and picnicking along the Truckee River. The more we enjoy the river, the more we will care for it!

Truckee River Month includes 100+ unique virtual and in-person events held by local groups along or for the river every year. On average, 13,000+ people participate annually, inspiring residents to enjoy and care more for our local gem, the Truckee River.

List of events will be available starting in April
