The exhibit focuses on the contrasting environments found in Nevada and the Great Basin, and the relationship of the environment with its living inhabitants including humans, animals, and plants. The exhibit explores Nevada’s diverse landscapes and wildlife populations through written and visual materials from the University Libraries Special Collections and University Archives’ Department’s extensive holdings of environmental collections. It also features three-dimensional objects including skulls, specimens, and taxidermied mounts courtesy of the University of Nevada, Reno Museum of Natural History.
Signs of Wildlife on the Trail will take place in the Wells Fargo Auditorium and Whittemore Gallery located on the first floor of the Mathewson-IGT Knowledge Center. Attendees will also be encouraged to visit the Closer to the Land exhibit on display in Special Collections and University Archives located on the third floor.
