A Visual Tour of Lake Tahoe’s Winter Trails: Presentation

January 5 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

The Lake Tahoe basin is one of the best areas in the nation for outdoor recreational opportunities, thanks to abundant sunshine and world class mountain scenery with the gorgeous lake as a centerpiece. The usually fair winter weather beckons residents and visitors alike to step outside and enjoy a casual snowshoe trip across a meadow, a stiff climb to the top of one of the area’s surrounding mountains, or just about anything in between. Author Mike White has recently written the most complete family-oriented and accessible guide for anyone who enjoys snowshoeing in the greater Lake Tahoe region. White and award-winning local photographer, Mark Vollmer, will present a slide show of Tahoe’s winter wonders at the Galena Creek Visitor Center, January 5, 2019, from 1 to 3 PM. Copies of White’s book, 50 of the Best Snowshoe Trails around Lake Tahoe, will be available for purchase and signing. Come and be inspired by the beauty to be explored around Lake Tahoe for all ages and abilities.
